Wires and cables are the core and fundamental equipment for transmitting electrical energy, transmitting information, and achieving electromagnetic conversion. According to their product applications and technical characteristics, they are classified into the following five categories: First, power cables, mainly used in power transmission and distribution systems; second, cables for electrical equipment, used in industrial machinery, new energy vehicles, household appliances and other terminal devices; third, communication cables (including optical fiber cables), used for information transmission scenarios such as 5G and data centers; fourth, bare conductors, used for overhead transmission lines; fifth, special cables, including submarine cables, photovoltaic/wind power dedicated cables, high-temperature and radiation-resistant cables, etc.
