Rubber Cable (Rubber Sheathed Cable)

Rubber cable is a flexible cable with rubber insulation and sheath. Compared with PVC cables, it has high elasticity, good flex resistance and environmental endurance for mobile and heavy-duty outdoor use.

Structure & Materials

Consists of stranded soft copper conductor, rubber insulation and rubber sheath. Multi-core cables have rubber fillers and optional shield.

  • Natural Rubber: very soft, good low-temperature toughness, for light household cables
  • Chloroprene Rubber (CR): ozone-resistant & flame retardant, standard for YZ/YC construction cables
  • EPDM: heat & water resistant, continuous temp 90°C, high-performance insulation
  • CPE: oil/acid/alkali resistant, for port & mine reeling cables
  • Silicone Rubber: -60 ~ +180°C, for metallurgy and power plants

GB Series

  • Light duty YQ/YQW: 300/300V, ultra-flexible, hand power tools
  • Medium duty YZ/YZW: 300/500V, moderate mechanical load, site temporary power
  • Heavy duty YC/YCW: 450/750V, thick sheath, anti-crush/drag, port machinery, tower cranes, welders Other variants: mining flame-retardant, high-temp silicone, oil-resistant special cables

Key Properties

Great flex resistance for repeated bending; strong environmental tolerance (UV, oil, low temp, water); high mechanical strength, heavy-duty types withstand temporary vehicle rolling.

Applications

Frequent moving & dragging occasions: power tools, construction temporary power, port/mining equipment, submersible pumps, metallurgical mobile motors, cold-region outdoor works.
