Cable assemblies can take many forms depending on their application and specific requirements. However, generally speaking, a typical cable assembly consists of the following parts:

Sheath

The sheath is the outermost layer of the cable assembly, usually made of materials such as plastic, metal, or rubber. It possesses properties such as corrosion resistance, pressure resistance, and heat resistance, protecting electrical components from environmental influences.

Socket

A socket is a component used to accept plugs, typically installed inside the cable assembly. The socket has contact pieces that make contact with corresponding contact points on the plug, transmitting current and signals.

Terminal Blocks

Terminal blocks are an important component of cable assemblies, used to connect cables and other electrical components. Terminals are divided into two types: straight-through and bridged. The former connects wires continuously, while the latter allows multiple wires to be connected in parallel.
