Fundamentally, data signal cables primarily utilize differential signaling for data transmission. Differential signaling is a transmission method comprising two opposing signals, characterized by its excellent immunity to interference. Within a data signal cable, the two conductors transmit the positive and negative differential signals, respectively; at the receiving end, the original data is recovered by calculating the difference between these two signals.

Data signal cables are widely employed across various fields, including computer networks, communication networks, audio-video transmission, and industrial automation. For instance, in Local Area Networks (LANs), data signal cables are frequently used to interconnect network devices, thereby facilitating data exchange between computers. In audio-video transmission applications, these cables serve to link devices-such as video cameras and recorders-to transmit high-definition video signals. Furthermore, in the realm of industrial automation, data signal cables are utilized to connect sensors and controllers, enabling the real-time transmission of data and the execution of control operations.
